Facts about Ja'onna's Medical and Laboratory Skills Training School
Ja'onna's Medical and Laboratory Skills Training Program provides comprehensive instruction and certification in special medical and laboratory skills. This unequaled program uses only licensed professionals, (Registered Nurses and Clinical Laboratory Scientists), as instructors. Our program is approved by the California Department of Health, (Laboratory Field Services); has a provider number with the California Board of Registered Nursing; is registered with the Bureau for Private Postsecondary and Vocational Education; and is licensed by each city that has a campus, (we have campuses in Chico, CA; Sacramento, CA; and Hilo, Hawaii). As stated previously, the director of this program was chosen to be one of the six members on the CLTAC Subcommittee for Phlebotomy Issues which drafted the proposals that became the new phlebotomy laws and regulations in California.
According to the United States Department of Labor, employment in the health care occupations is projected to grow from the current 8.9 million positions to over 12.8 million positions in just ten years. A majority of the employers agree that individuals who are cross-trained in more than one medical skill will have the greatest opportunity to fill these 3.9 million new positions. Our school can provide this cross-training. Each semester our school receives dozens of requests for our graduates by employers in the medical field.
The student may choose to enroll in a multiple module course that provides training in an occupation or the student may take any single module course or combination of single module courses available in our program. The student serious about obtaining employment may wish to consider taking a combination of the courses available at our school since this would provide the cross-training desired by many employers. |
