Introduction to Electrocardiography
Introduction to
the operation of the Electrocardiograph and the techniques needed to
obtain a quality Electrocardiogram necessary for the accurate
diagnosis of cardiac conditions. With the extensive use of
Electrocardiograms in modern medical facilities and insurance
examination agencies, this course is designed to provide the
training that will give you a competitive edge in obtaining
employment. The course will include;

Course introduction, anatomy,
physiology, and terminology of the cardiovascular system and the
cardiac conduction system

Introduction to the Electrocardiogram, Electrocardiograph
testing, terminology and equipment.

Electrocardiograph operation; patient preparation, lead
placement, and entry of patient information

Electrocardiograph operation; Electronic filters, sensitivity
and speed controls, and quality control

Final written and practical
examinations.
