Lecture,
the art of drawing blood
This course will provide 40 hours of
instruction and
demonstration of procedures; 640 practice venipunctures, and four
written
examinations. Students successfully completing this course and
satisfying all
graduation requirements will earn a Certificate of Completion that
complies
with the California
law requiring 40 hours of didactic training. The student will then need
to
complete;
- 40 hours of practical
training
- 50 successful venipunctures
- 40 hour clinical
internship at a medical facility
- Become Nationally
Certified in order to become registered as a Phlebotomy Technician by
the State of California.
Home Work Time
Required:
- The student will
practice venipuncture 80 times a week
